I drove to Paoli today and picked up 300 lbs of clay. I reminisced of all the years I have been going. 1980 till now. For years I had it delivered a ton at a time. I've asked my brother in law to haul some once. But, every year I seem to make an emergency clay run. The pictures are Mike's office. Which was his Dad's office back in the day and the collection of pots piled up. The second picture you can see 2 pen drawings of a cowboy and a dog pinned up by the glaze color chart. Those drawings were made by my mentor Mo. I took her and Dude the pitbull one year..long time ago. She sat at the table as we loaded clay and sketched those drawings in about 5 minutes. Mike was so impressed. He kept them and pinned them up. I got a smile on my face when I seen they were still there! On the way home I pulled in the driveway where Mo used to live . I shed a few tears. Mostly I said a Lil prayer and thanked God I had such a wonderful friend ๐งก I have true inspiration โค๏ธ I could tell Mo stories all day..but; not enough room here. Suffice it to say..She was unique.
