Give me a break!!!!!!!

So about that taxpayer money Trump and Musk claim to be saving with DOGE on so-called government ‘waste’... um...

Approximately a month since taking office, Trump has used nearly $11 million to go on golf trips every weekend. The Huffington Post reports that each of the 4 weekends he's been in office, Trump has flown down to his Mar-a-Lago country club. Using a 2019 report by the Government Accountability Office that estimated an average cost of $3,383,250 per trip, the math adds up to about $10.7 million for all the trips Trump has taken. This includes expenses for Air Force One, transporting vehicles, and all the security measures that go into moving a president.

This is probably on the lower end, given all the inflation that Trump promised he would tackle, but so far, his golf swing seems more important than his campaign promises to save average Americans money.

While presidential trips are not uncommon, Trump's costs are a fraction of what former President Joe Biden would use for his less frequent trips to his homes in Delaware, which the GAO estimated to be about $500,000 each.

‘It’s clear that when the Trump administration considers the definition of corruption and wasteful spending, it doesn’t count spending that ends up in the president’s pockets,’ Jordan Libowitz of the watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington told HuffPost. ‘By visiting his for-profit businesses roughly a third of his days in office, Trump is directing government spending to follow him there and profiting off the trip.’

"Found this guy adrift a few miles out in the Atlantic off Little Torch Key after the storm. He looked a little haggard and had swallowed a lot of water, but thankfully he was okay. Judging from his smile, I think he was grateful for the ride back to land."
