Memorial Day Weekend at Wi******er

On Sunday, we were blessed with a wonderful Gospel Singing filled with faith, fellowship, and great music.

Today, we’re firing up the grill for a delicious BBQ and enjoying time together as a community! 🍔🌭

To wrap up Nursing Home Week 2026, we had a fun-filled Color Burst Day! Each department wore a different color and brought a matching food dish for our residents to try. Yes… that included some green macaroni and cheese! 💚🧀

In the afternoon, our Car Wash/Wheelchair Wash turned into a full-on water day with lots of laughs and splashes!

What a wonderful week celebrating our amazing residents and staff. We are all officially worn out — residents and staff alike — but our hearts are full from all the memories made. ❤️

🎡✨ Today’s Nursing Home Week event was Carnival Day! ✨🎡

Our residents enjoyed all the classic carnival treats—popcorn, cotton candy, and corn dogs—and had a blast playing fun carnival games. Laughter, smiles, and good times were in abundance! 🥳❤️

Today for Nursing Home Week, we celebrated Sports Day a little differently. We started the morning inside with a fun activity led by our friend Tisha from VNA, but before long, the sunshine outside was calling our names.

So we did what felt right — we tossed the afternoon schedule aside and headed out for a game of baseball.

Some of our residents claimed the bases, and everyone’s buddy, Wilson Crutcher, proudly took on the important jobs of both first baseman and umpire. There were smiles, laughter, a little friendly competition, and the kind of memories that remind us how simple moments can mean the most.

We’re lucky to call a place home that’s backed up to beautiful farmland with plenty of room to play baseball whenever the mood strikes. Days like today feel a little like the good old days — and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
