When you notice you are putting things off and can't find the motivation to get started, ask yourself these questions.
What am I feeling right now? (overwhelm, anxiety, boredom, fear, resentment, fatigue)
What feels hard about this task? (unclear steps, fear of failure, too big, not meaningful)
What am I trying to avoid or protect myself from?
Is this task tied to perfectionism or unrealistic expectations?
Do I need rest, clarity, or support rather than discipline?
To gently move forward:
What is the smallest next step I could take? (5–10 minutes counts)
What would “good enough” look like here?
If I weren’t judging myself, what would help right now?
What would I say to a friend in this same situation?
