In Loving Memory of Anthony “Bruce” Banks
February 6, 1954 - June 6, 2024

Anthony “Bruce” Banks, 70, of West Blocton, Alabama, was born on February 6, 1954, to
Mr. and Mrs. Lenon Henry Banks of Vance, AL. Bruce accepted Christ at an early age and
united with Hopewell Baptist Church in Vance, Alabama.
Anthony "Bruce" Banks, a proud United States Air Force Veteran, was not only a man of
service but also a man of many passions. His love for travel and photography led him to
spend many memorable years in California, where he formed a close bond with his
California family, including his sister-in-law, Shirley Banks; nephew, Trevon; niece, Tia; and
cousin, Ogie, Jr (Denise).
Bruce departed this life on June 6, 2024, after a brief illness at UAB Hospital in
Birmingham, AL.
His oldest brother, Columbus Leonard Banks of California, preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Inell M. Banks of Tuscaloosa, AL; two
brothers, Kenneth Wayne Banks of Lanett, AL, and Michael Eurel Banks (Lillian) of
Tuscaloosa, AL; his son, Anthony Collins (Erika) of Tuscaloosa, AL; and two daughters,
Ramona Marcia Banks of Hueytown, AL, and Cinnamon Banks of Alabaster, AL. He is also
survived by his five beloved grandchildren, Kearston, Kolbe, Chloe, Kya, and Kaleb, along
with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom he held dear.
The loss of Bruce is deeply felt by all who knew and loved him. His memory will forever be
cherished in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life, leaving a void that can
never be filled.

May he rest in peace.
