Meet Dr. Tasnia Matin with UAB Medical West Gastroenterology!

Dr. Matin is passionate about patient care and brings extensive training and experience to our team. An Auburn University and UAB School of Medicine graduate, she completed her Gastroenterology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Her career includes serving as Chief Medical Resident at the Birmingham VA and as Senior Attending Gastroenterologist at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

Meet Lea Freeman, CRNP, a dedicated nurse practitioner at the UAB Medical West Hueytown Primary Care.

With a strong background in family medicine, Lea provides compassionate, personalized care for patients. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and her extensive experience includes more than seven years as an RN in the UAB Hospital’s Bone Marrow Transplant and Hematology/Oncology ICU.
