Join us in welcoming Shantel Ruffin, CRNP, to our team of providers here at UAB Medical West Hueytown Primary Care! Shantel is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her associates degree from Jefferson State Community College, her bachelors degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham, and her masters degree from The University of South Alabama. Shantel has a diverse background in healthcare including acute care, interventional radiology, and pain management and is excited to serve patients in the Hueytown community!

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and her extensive experience includes more than seven years as an RN in the UAB Hospital’s Bone Marrow Transplant and Hematology/Oncology ICU.
