Shoulders - they carry a physical load + for some they carry the weight of the world from stress or worry.

One of the most complex areas of the body to work on. Tension in the shoulders can effect our entire arm, hand and fingers. It can impact our breathing, posture and even hip mobility. Weather our shoulders are too strong or more likely too weak they can cause major discomfort and compensation from other muscle groups!

The shoulders were one of the first areas of the body I "geeked out" on. I could, still can, spend an hour on just the shoulders. Spending time really feeling around the dynamic layers of tissue was a game changer for my learning and understanding of how intricate our bodies were created!

So, if you are receiving regular bodywork and your provider hasn't worked under your armpit, the anterior side, down into your arm, along the clavicle and of course along the scapula.....they are doing you wrong! Tension and knots along the scapula is proof that there's compensation happening. Ask them to work the e n t i r e shoulder.

I'm still praying and hopeful to find a young MT to bring under my umbrella of care & experience. If you know someone or have any questions reach out!

It's been on my heart for years for Willow to grow. I remember my days as a fresh graduate from MT school well. Thrilled to have found work that brought me joy....to be able to serve people + genuinely care for them. I remember my first job at a local spa - I got paid a small percentage of the session cost. Was undervalued by management. Wasn't allowed time in between sessions to take a breather. Was expected to do grunt work without pay. It was horrible - and I almost walked away from the industry.

I held on and started Willow as a side hustle in hopes that I could find my joy and be successful. 6 years later and Willow is still standing & thriving.

My life looks different these days as Ty and I are growing this family of ours....but I want Willow to finally feel that growth too! I want to help the young girl whose natural skill and nurturing heart is lost in the work horse machine of the traditional spa life.
