Our Directors of Community Integration have a role focused entirely on ensuring residents are welcomed with intention, care plans are aligned holistically, families are communicated with proactively, and Artis associates are supported with robust dementia education from day one.

In other words, they’re the Directors of helping people belong.

We’re celebrating National Happy Hour Day with a toast to our well-being – and a refreshingly healthy mocktail recipe from our National Director of Culinary Services, Chef Joel Walding. 🧑‍🍳 It’s light, bubbly, and packed with ingredients that love you back.

Cucumber-Pear Electrolyte Refresher

🥒 4-5 cucumber slices – rich in beta carotene to help calm inflammation 
🍐 1/2 ripe pear, sliced thin – a great source of fiber for gentle digestion
🍯 1 teaspoon honey or agave (optional) – natural sweetness with soothing antioxidants
💚 juice of 1/2 a lime – loaded with vitamin C to give your immune system a lift
sea salt – just a pinch to help your body hold on to hydration
🥥 1/2 cup coconut water – a natural way to restore electrolytes after activity
💦 1/2 cup sparkling water – the more hydration, the better In a shaker or tall glass, muddle the cucumber slices and pear with lime juice and honey or agave until juicy.

Add a pinch of sea salt and pour in the coconut water.

Fill the glass with ice cubes, then top with sparkling water.

Stir gently and garnish with a cucumber ribbon or pear slice. Cheers! 🍹

Our residents enjoyed a delicious luncheon organized by the Chamber of Bethel Park , Castle Shannon, and South Park. The meal was exceptional, and the residents appreciated the opportunity to relax and partake in the event. They also valued the recognition bestowed upon them by various governmental representatives in attendance. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by team members, residents, and their families, including our unofficial mascot, Blue, who visits us daily. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Chamber for their efforts in coordinating this memorable occasion.

At South Hills, our Halloween celebration transformed into a lively masterpiece—a "Painting with a Twist" event that brought everyone’s creativity to life! Guided by our talented concierge, Lorelei (our very own Lorelai), each family and resident was handed their own canvas, brushes, and vibrant paints. With Lorelei’s inspiring instructions, they painted stunning fall scenes that will become lasting memories. Once their artistic masterpieces were complete, everyone savored delicious autumn-themed desserts and warm fall beverages. It was a magical evening filled with art, laughter, and community spirit—truly a night to remember for all!
