📣 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

First I would like to thank all of my loyal clients for their support over all these years.

This has been a challenging year with moving both the office and my home and mother’s health. Nick has left the practice so I am learning how to fly solo in Guilford.

Currently both of my websites are down while I work on a business rebrand. New name. New services. New hours/days. New clients that will include human, horse, and hound. I will also be removing some services from the menu as well, but I think you will enjoy the new services as much if not more than the old ones.

I will begin introducing the new services here on social media and I hope to have the new site up by next month.

I love kinesio-tape, but it’s best if you hear a success story from one of my clients. This client worked out a little too hard at the gym and presented with pain upon lifting the arm and internal rotation. Once the tape was applied his symptoms were gone. “I feel f***ing amazing.” His words not mine 😳 however I couldn’t be happier with the results. If you are suffering with a painful condition and need a little extra help come see me, I’l get you back into gear ⚙️

Believe it or not your posture significantly influences the aging process! Forward head posture negatively impacts the face especially the lower 1/3 (hello jowls 👋🏻) contributing to sagging skin and deep wrinkles on the neck. It also diminishes circulation of the blood and lymph to the face creating a dull, puffy complexion and fibrotic tissue in the face. As you can see there are a a lot of structures responsible for youthful facial esthetics especially the hyoid group (last few photos) in the front of the neck. In my practice posture is my number one focus because nothing can be resolved if you are not in proper alignment, including age related facial esthetics.

I am going to posting regularly on this topic over the month and I will be sharing some dramatic before and afters.

Check back tomorrow for the Manual Facial Rejuvenation special I am offering for July 💆🏻‍♀️

It’s Fascia Friday 🕸

Today’s stars ⭐️ the Fascial Arm Lines - Superficial and Deep

What do they do?

The arm lines have more cross-over structures than the legs. This is because human arms have high mobility compared to the legs which offer more stability. To cope with this free movement more varied lines and support in all directions is required. Therefore the arm lines are arranged with a deep and a shallow line on the front of the arm as well as a deep and shallow one on the back of the arm.

What do they do?

🔹They merge with other fascial lines to perform and assist a variety of actions such as: pushing, pulling, and rotational movements in collaboration with the eyes in order to perform the advanced movements with the arms and hands.

Why do we work on it?

🔹Arm/wrist/hand/finger problems

🔹Neck/Shoulder problems

🔹Upper back dysfunction

🔹Postural issues

🔹Because…it’s all connected!

It’s Fascia Friday 🕸

Today’s star ⭐️ the Spiral Line

The spiral line creates a loop around the body in two opposite circles, to the right and left. It combines each side of the skull, crosses the thoracic spine (mid-back) to the opposite shoulder. Then it goes around the chest to the front to cross the navel and goes down to the hip. From the hip the spiral line runs down the outside of the foot. It makes a loop under the foot, continues up the thigh towards the pelvis. Finally the line runs up the spine merging with the muscles and fascia of the back and neck.

What does it do?

🔹Its postural function is to stabilize the body in all planes through its double enclosing loop

🔹It connects the foot with the pelvis and is important in the regulation of the knee position when walking

Why do we work on it?

🔹When in dysfunction this line causes rotations and imbalances in the body

🔹Foot/ankle mobility problems

🔹Neck/Shoulder problems

🔹Hip mobility problems

🔹Rib problems

🔹Because…it’s all connected!
