Every 40 seconds, someone in the U.S. experiences a strokeāand it can happen anywhere. Thatās why recognizing the warning signs and acting quickly is so important.
Remember B.E. F.A.S.T.āthe signs of a stroke:
-Balance Unsteady
-Eyesight Changes
-Face Drooping
-Arm Weakness
-Speech Difficulty
-Time to call 911
The sooner a stroke is treated, the better the chances for recovery. Patients who receive clot-busting medication or stent procedures within the first critical minutes are three times more likely to recover with little or no disability.
Stroke is largely treatableābut only if we act fast. Learn the signs, share the knowledge, and be prepared.
