Yaneth, a 30 yr old mother of two, She was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia shortly after giving birth to her daughter. After several years of treatment, she was able to receive a transplant at the NIH Clinical Center. Her sister was her bone marrow donor. During her treatment Friends at NIH provided a home away from home, at one of our local apartments, making it possible for her and her family to stay in the area as she received treatment and recovered.

In these uncertain times, our patients need support for basic needs including food, medicine, and shelter. At Friends of Patients we remain committed to providing hope to patients and alleviating them of financial burdens in order to make treatment possible.

Please visit our website and donation page for more information about how you can help patients and families in need.
