Our licensed CNAs are CPR-trained, insured, and background-checked, providing reliable support with errands, driving, and daily care. Our mission at Assisting Hands Serving Potomac is to provide our clients with personalized care that enhances their quality of life in a heartfelt and nurturing way. We treat every client as if they were one of our parents or family members. We carefully match a caregiver to meet our client's individual needs, personality and habits. Our caregivers are trained in critical areas to ensure the safety and comfort of our clients and are supervised by our Director of Nursing. Every caregiver is Bonded, Insured, and Background Checked. Clients include seniors, those recovering from surgery or hospitalization, and those living with a disability. We can generally provide a caregiver within 24 hours of initial consultation, and sometimes the same day. We offer both live-in and 24 hour services as well as a few hours of care once a week.

“We finally felt at ease.” One of the most common things families share is this:

A sense of relief.

Knowing someone reliable is there.
Knowing their loved one isn’t alone.
Knowing daily needs are being met.

That peace of mind changes everything. Read how families describe their experience with in-home care. https://hubs.la/Q0496QH20,,,,

What aging in place actually requires. Aging in place sounds simple. But it takes more support than most people expect.

It often includes:
• Help with daily routines
• Medication reminders
• Mobility support
• Regular check-ins

Without the right structure, independence can quickly turn into risk. With the right support, it becomes sustainable.

That’s the difference families feel. See what goes into safely aging in place at home. https://hubs.la/Q0496QJ10

You start noticing little things. Then you can’t unsee them. It usually doesn’t happen all at once.

You notice something small.
Then something else.

Maybe it’s unopened mail.
Maybe it’s the fridge not being stocked.
Maybe it’s repeating the same story more often.

At first, you tell yourself it’s nothing. But over time, it becomes harder to ignore.

Trusting that instinct is often the first step toward getting the right kind of support in place. If you’ve started noticing changes, this can help you understand what they may mean. https://hubs.la/Q04970ZK0

The difference a consistent caregiver makes. Consistency matters more than most people realize.

Seeing the same caregiver regularly builds:
• Trust and comfort
• Familiar routines
• Better communication
• Early awareness of changes

It’s not just about completing tasks. It’s about creating a relationship that helps your loved one feel secure in their own home.

That’s where real care begins. See how consistent care can improve daily life at home. https://hubs.la/Q0496QB90

The difference between “getting by” and actually being safe. Many older adults are still managing on their own.

But “getting by” doesn’t always mean things are going well.

You might notice:
• Skipped meals or poor nutrition
• Increased clutter or missed housekeeping
• Hesitation with stairs or bathing
• More frequent forgetfulness

These aren’t always emergencies, but they are signals.

Support at the right time can prevent bigger issues later and help your loved one stay safely at home longer. Learn what to look for before small changes become bigger concerns. https://hubs.la/Q0496G5R0
