Suburban Hospital's administrative service representatives and secretary-technicians recently met to celebrate the success of our welcome rounds.

This group rounds on patients when they arrive to the unit by providing a warm and friendly greeting and acclimating them and their loved ones to the room. They help explain how to use equipment, such as the call light or room phone, and how to adjust the bed, lights and room temperature to make their stay more comfortable.

In the last year, the team has rounded on more than 5,400 patients, making one-on-one, intentional connections. The group enjoys interacting with our patients and helping them feel special.

Two Suburban Hospital teams attended Neighborhood Safety Day on Saturday, June 28, hosted by MainStreet Connect and the City of Rockville. Suburban's community health and wellness team offered a sun safety activity to interact with children and families on the importance of preventing skin cancer, and the trauma team demonstrated Stop the Bleed techniques.
