Head and neck cancers can affect the way we speak, eat, and swallow. Things we rely on every day.

Because early changes can feel subtle, they’re often easy to overlook.

April is Head & Neck Cancer Awareness Month, a time to better understand these signs and the experiences behind them.

If something feels off, it’s worth paying attention to.
And if you’re navigating something uncertain, you don’t have to do it alone.

There’s something about a tropical night… 🌴✨
The air feels different.
The colors are brighter.
Everyone shows up a little bolder, a little more themselves.

This is your sign to start thinking about your outfit!
Flowy dresses, linen sets, tropical prints, a pop of color you wouldn’t usually wear…
This is that night.

A night to show up, stand out, and be part of something bigger.

When something feels normal… until it doesn’t.

April is Esophageal Cancer Awareness Month, a time to better understand the signs we often overlook.

Some of the earliest signs of esophageal cancer don’t feel alarming.
They can feel familiar, like reflux, discomfort, or difficulty swallowing, which is why they’re easy to overlook.

But when something starts to feel different than usual, it’s worth paying attention.
And if you’re navigating something uncertain, you don’t have to do it alone.

Support groups, mind-body programs, educational resources, and a community that understands can make a real difference.

Because no one should have to face cancer alone.

We see every day the impact that connection and support can have on someone facing cancer.

That’s why we continue to create and design programs and spaces that bring people together, provide trusted information, and create space for meaningful conversations.

Our Breast Cancer Summit on May 2 is one of those efforts, designed for patients and caregivers navigating this journey.

Because no one should have to navigate cancer without support.

Invitations are out ✨

On April 16, we’re hosting our next Hope for the Future Society gathering at Hope Connections — an exclusive evening that brings together supporters, leaders, and friends of our community.

The evening will include a cocktail reception, time to mingle and connect, and a featured session:

AI for Real Life: Practical ways to use AI in everyday situations.

Everyone is talking about ChatGPT, but what can it actually do in everyday life?

Through simple, real examples, you’ll see how AI can help with travel planning, research, learning, and decision-making. No technical background needed.

These gatherings are reserved for members of the Hope for the Future Society, but there’s still time to be part of this one.

Not yet a member, but don’t want to miss this?

Cancer during adolescence and young adulthood doesn’t only affect the present.
It can change how the future is seen.

According to the National Cancer Institute, many young people may experience long-term physical, emotional, and social effects after treatment.

And at the same time, research shows that many develop new perspectives, priorities, and ways of moving forward.

Not because the experience is easy.
But because it is deeply transformative.

At Hope Connections, we believe support doesn’t end when treatment does.

We’re here for what comes next, through support groups, educational programs, and a community that understands.

Because the future may look different.
But it is still yours.

Our Young Adults with Cancer Support Group meets on the second Thursday of each month from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

A few moments from a night we’re still thinking about ✨

The runway, the energy, the people… it all came together in a way that felt real, joyful, and deeply connected.

It was fun, it was special, and most importantly, it brought our community together to make a real impact in the lives of those affected by cancer.

Thank you to everyone who was part of it, our models, volunteers, and everyone who showed up to support ✨

Special thanks to our Community Sponsor, Progressions Salon Spa (), and our Media Sponsor, Sixx Cool Moms ()

Our participants and volunteers took the runway at our second annual Hope Chest Boutique Spring Fashion Show, and it was so much more than a fashion show.

Each moment on the runway reflected the strength, resilience, and humanity that define our community at Hope Connections. What made the evening especially meaningful was not just what was seen, but what was shared: personal stories, lived experiences, and what being there meant to each of them.

The Hope Chest Boutique is a volunteer-driven space where every purchase directly supports Hope Connections. Proceeds help fund free support groups, educational programs, and mind-body classes for individuals and caregivers impacted by cancer. This event was a powerful reminder of that impact in action.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us, and especially to our Community Sponsor, Progressions Salon Spa , and our Media Sponsor, Sixx Cool Moms , for helping make this evening possible.

Moments like these reinforce why our work matters, and why no one should face cancer alone.

The Hope for the Future Society brings together a special community of supporters who believe deeply in the work Hope Connections provides for people facing cancer.

Liza Marshall shares what this community means to her. Through their support, members help ensure that support groups, educational workshops, and mind-body programs remain free and accessible to anyone who needs them.

Members are also invited to special gatherings and exclusive experiences throughout the year, creating meaningful moments of connection along the way.

Yin & Restorative Yoga with Sherry Steine✨

At Hope Connections, each Yin and Restorative Yoga session is an invitation to gently rebuild your relationship with your body. This mind-body experience offers a quiet, supportive space to slow down, release tension, and reconnect from within.

Guided by Sherry Steine, Certified Aromatherapist and Therapeutic Yoga Teacher (RYT-500), participants are led through stillness, breath, and intentional rest, moving without pressure or performance, and honoring their own pace. Together, these practices support emotional processing, restore a sense of trust and safety in the body, and cultivate sustainable, long-term well-being.

Offered virtually every Monday from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.
