UMC and Texas Tech Physicians recognized Craig Barker, MD, with the naming of The Craig Barker, MD Endowed Chair in Medical Excellence in Family Medicine. The naming is an acknowledgement of Dr. Barker’s dedication to Family Medicine at UMC Physicians. Dr. Barker is the Corporate Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer for UMC Physicians, a role he accepted in 2019. As such, he is the chairman of the board of managers for UMC Physicians and supervises the medical operations of the multiple outpatient locations for the health system.
