Living with EDS, POTS, or MCAS often means more than just joint pain, dizziness, or allergic-type flares—it can also mean bladder leaks, pelvic and bladder pain, or bladder urgency that you might not expect.

Here’s what the data shows:
• 50–60% of people with EDS experience urinary incontinence which is much higher than the general population.
• Among POTS patients, about 25% also have hypermobile EDS and 9% report MCAS.
• Many patients say they notice bladder pain or urgency during MCAS flare-ups—even when tests show no infection.

That’s why at Empowerheal Physical Therapy, we specialize in pelvic‑floor physical therapy tailored to EDS, as well as targeted approaches for EDS‑associated symptoms. We’re here to help you reclaim comfort, function, and control.
