The third article celebrating the APMA-SVS relationship, 'Toward an Interdisciplinary Approach to Diabetic Limbs in the Era of Functional Limb Preservation: "Can We Preserve This Limb?" Meets "Should We Preserve This Limb?"' from Francesco Serino, MD, et al, dives into the interdisciplinary approach to limb salvage and why one should look at function in addition to other metrics when consider whether to save a limb.

"[Technological advances] brought podiatric and vascular surgeons together to develop interdisciplinary teams. They began not only sharing clinic and operating time, but also sharing ideas about patient care and clinical research."
