Kenwood Animal Hospital ia a full-service, computer-based, dog and cat hospital located in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Kathleen Dougherty and all of the doctors and staff of Kenwood Animal Hospital are on hand to provide the very highest quality pet care and assistance with a personal touch. Dr. Raymond Currey opened the Washington Veterinary Clinic in the 1930s on Wisconsin Avenue in Friendship Heights. He retired in 1986 and sold the property to the Chevy Chase Pavillion. His son, Dr. Gordon Currey, who had been working with his father, opened the Currey Animal Clinic at the present location. Upon his retirement in 2001, Dr. Gordon Currey sold the practice to Dr. Kathleen Dougherty, who renamed it Kenwood Animal Hospital. Dr. Dougherty has renovated and expanded the practice to include a number of complimentary services. Today, Kenwood Animal Hospital strives to meet all of your pet's needs and our client's busy lives. We offer full medical and surgical services, state-of-the-art onsite lab services, a comprehensive in-house pharmacy in addition to online pharmacy service for home delivery of most prescriptions and veterinary diets, pet transportation, boarding, doggy daycare, and grooming services. We work with several local animal rescue organizations, both in Montgomery County and the District of Columbia, to help provide continuity of care and guidance for newly adopted pets, pets in foster care and our area's working pets. We also work to help the individuals who serve our community, offering discounted services for our area's police, fire and rescue and military servicemen and women.
