Thank you to the The New York Times for highlighting the impact of therapist loss on patients! And thank you for featuring TheraClosure's efforts to help therapists minimize that impact by making it easier for therapists to create a Professional Will and to rely on us, clinicians ourselves, to serve as the Practice Executor. Ellen Barry wrote a beautiful piece honoring the therapeutic bond, and I appreciate those who told their stories for willing to be open about the pain of this unique loss.
I have heard many therapists talk about the deep caring, and yes, love, that they have for their patients. As a field, it hasn't be easy to do the kind of planning for the unexpected that is needed in order to protect patient and also colleagues and family members from the fallout of a sudden therapist death or incapacitation.
We have needed resources, and that is what TheraClosure offers. Expert consultation on your practice or retirement needs, help with forming a plan, documenting that plan in a Professional Will which names TheraClosure as the Practice Executor, and compassionate clinicians on retainer to take care of your patients. We notify them, assist with referrals, take secure custody of clinical records and take care of administrative aspects of the practice to shield your loved ones at a time of grief.

Therapists are cautious about sharing personal information. When they fall ill or die unexpectedly, the shock can be shattering.
