Medical Readiness Brigade - National Capital Region The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center is one of the nation’s largest and most renowned military medical centers.

Recently dubbed “The Nation's Medical Center”, WRNMMC represents the joining of the “Best of the Best” in military medicine when National Naval Medical Center and Walter Reed Army Medical Center came together in September of 2011, to form Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as decreed by the Base Realignment and Closure law of 2005. WRNMMC is comprised of nearly 8,500 dedicated staff members who make it their daily mission to achieve the vision and mission of our medical center. That vision is to serve military families and our nation’s active duty, returning war heroes, veterans and our Nation’s leaders. We are committed to operational readiness; outstanding customer service; maintaining excellent graduate medical and dental education and research; and always delivering world-class health care within an integrated system. Those who come though our doors, come to heal, to stay healthy, to help others, to teach the next generation, to practice quality medicine, and take part in cutting-edge clinical research. Our soldiers took on the Iron Warrior Competition — and let’s just say, the competition never stood a chance! 💥💪

From hauling weights to pushing past their limits, these soldiers showed up with grit, heart, and just the right amount of “let’s do this!” energy. They sweated, they hustled, and they might’ve questioned their life choices once or twice… but they crushed it anyway! 🔥

Huge shoutout to everyone who competed and kept the spirit high. Proud of our team for proving that strong can also be fun!
