As an Anesthesiologist and Lifestyle Medicine Physician
This is my clinical experience—not a claim that disease can’t occur.

But it does raise an important question…
What we eat every day matters.

Lifestyle medicine pillar #1: Nutrition 🌱
Fuel your body with intention.

04/13/2026

As an Anesthesiologist & Lifestyle Medicine Physician
Quick reminder: ‘free’ food at work often comes with a cost—energy crashes, cravings, and slowed progress.

Don’t eat the ‘free’ food at work 🍩
Instead—eat a whole food, plant-based diet 🌱

Lifestyle medicine pill #1: nutrition
Fuel your body on purpose.

Adults need 7–9 hours of sleep—kids need more 💤
– 49 year old Anesthesiologist & Lifestyle Medicine Physician, mom of 2 boys (2 and 8)

04/11/2026

150–300 minutes of moderate-intensity activity per week.

Moderate = you can talk, but not sing.

04/07/2026

6-day work week.
24-hour call.

When life gets busy, I focus on what I can control—how I fuel my body. 🌱

Meals prepped and ready so I can show up for my patients, my family, and myself.

And yes…
cruises don’t pay for themselves 🚢✨

Lifestyle Medicine Pillar 1: Nutrition 🌱
Whole-food, plant-based meals—all week.

04/06/2026

Strength training doesn’t need perfect conditions—just commitment. 💪🏽

Nap time = workout time.
Stroller + resistance = getting it DONE.

Lifestyle Medicine Pillar 2: Activity
👉 Aim for ≥2 days/week of strength training—wherever you are.

Comment “2” if you’re getting your strength days in this week 👇

Lifestyle Medicine Pillar 4: Stress Reduction
Booked the reset. Not the breakdown.

POV: 49-year-old anesthesiologist, mom of 2 boys (2 & 8 )💪🏽

15 seconds is all you see…
but this is built on consistency.

Lifestyle Medicine Pillar 2: Activity
Strength training isn’t optional—it’s essential.
👉 At least 2x/week to build strength, protect bone, and stay functional for life.

Busy schedule. Long shifts. Mom life.
Still showing up.

👇 Comment STRONG if you’re getting your 2 days in this week

03/25/2026

Stop waiting until Sunday.
You can meal prep ANY day of the week.

This is my Tuesday mini reset—just enough to carry me through the next 3 days.

🌱 Lifestyle Medicine Pillar 1: Nutrition

🍓 Breakfast: chocolate banana PB Fit oatmeal cookies + strawberries
🥦 Lunch: tempeh + broccoli + cherry tomatoes
🍠 Dinner: tofu + arugula + sweet potatoes

No perfection. No overthinking.
Just simple, consistent choices that support your health.

POV: 49-year-old anesthesiologist, mom of 2 (2 & 😎 doing what works on busy weeks.

✨ Progress > perfection. Keep it simple.

17th half marathon. 🏁

On 2 hours and 39 minutes of sleep…
Fueled by electrolytes + homemade sweet potato gel 🍠⚡️

Mom of 2 boys (2 & 8 ).
49-year-old OB anesthesiologist.

Not perfect. Not pretty.
But I showed up for myself anyway.

Because sometimes the win isn’t the time…
It’s the decision to keep going. ✨

Who else is choosing consistency over perfection today? 👇🏽

In medicine, I spend my days taking care of others.

But healing goes both ways.

This moment — dancing in Honduras with someone I had just met — reminded me of something powerful:

Connection doesn’t require history.
It just requires presence.

Social connection is one of the strongest predictors of health and longevity — yet we often overlook it.

Today’s reminder:
Say yes.
Be open.
Dance when the moment finds you.

This takes 5 minutes… and changes everything.

As a 49-year-old OB anesthesiologist and mom of 2 boys (ages 2 & 8 ), my days are full, fast, and often unpredictable.

I don’t always have time for long routines.

But I always have 5 minutes.

So I step outside.

Because even a few minutes of sunlight and fresh air can lower stress hormones, improve mood, and reset your nervous system.

Simple. Free. Powerful.

🌿 Lifestyle Medicine Pillar: Stress Reduction

If you’re feeling overwhelmed today, try this first.
