Light The Path Physical Therapy

Light The Path Physical Therapy Write The Next Chapter Of Your Success Story. This will save time in your schedule by not having to travel to a busy outpatient clinic.

Light The Path Physical Therapy is a mobile practice that provides you convenient care in the comfort of your own home, place of work, or wherever works best for you. It will also decrease the chance of you having to cancel plans and events that are important to you. Your time is valuable, which is why we only offer one-on-one appointments that are extended and stress free. Our focus is on providing exceptional rehabilitation for each individual and NOT on seeing a high volume of patients per day. In order to accomplish this and offer our patients this exclusive added benefit, we accept fewer patients at a time. Once you are accepted as a patient you will receive care promptly due to a short waiting period. We strive to provide high-quality continuity of care practices, which is why you will be seen by the same physical therapist every session. This will allow for consistent treatment to take place and the ability to build excellent rapport with your healthcare provider. You will also have more access to communicate with your physical therapist in between sessions via phone, text, and e-mail. Your plan of care will be thoughtfully designed to treat the entirety of your condition, but will focus closely on treating the root cause of your injury. It will also be tailored to meet your unique needs and personal limitations. You will also be included in the decision making process of your plan of care so that all of your concerns are fully addressed. We have direct access certification, which allows you to use our services immediately without a physician referral. This will enable you to heal faster and return back to your life more quickly. It will also decrease the need for you to seek more expensive forms of treatment in the process. Our services are affordable and we are transparent about our pricing. You will always know what your care will cost you upfront before being charged, which means no surprise bills months later. We will not bill your insurance and allow you to pay us directly for your treatment, which will typically save you money in the long run. Furthermore, your care will be decided solely between you and your physical therapist without the intrusion of a third-party payer. Often times insurance companies will limit and restrict you to a specific number of visits that they will cover, which can negatively impact your recovery. We rid you the hassle of having to deal with all of this red tape that insurance companies so often create. This gives you the freedom to make your own healthcare decisions.

Isometric strength is one of the most important qualities to have when training Jiu jitsu. An isometric contraction is where you are not lengthening or shortening the muscle, but maintaining the same position for a prolonged period of time. This is an easy way to improve your isometric grip strength.

Rest or exercise after a low back injury? Definitely exercise in a safe and progressive manner. Too much bed rest can actually increase pain and disability.

Alexie crushed it at the recent Finishers Sub Only Open 22 in his bracket. He originally injured his foot training jiu-jitsu, but after a couple sessions of focused manual work we were able to get him back on the mats at 100%. He recovered like a champ and took home gold. This is why we continue doing what we do - getting our athletes back to 100% is always the priority!

Deadlifts are an excellent way to improve your low back and hip strength. It’s a great exercise specifically for Jiu-jitsu athletes to give them more stability while on the mats. Performing this with a staggered stance also allows an athlete to focus attention more unilaterally.

We recently had the opportunity to get Mikey .610 tuned up and rolling back on the mats. Mikey is a high level purple belt that trains at 10th planet Bethlehem. Always happy to get our jiu-jitsu athletes back to doing what they love!
