This was shared with me a bit ago and really drove home a good point:

Someone was visiting a nursing home and brought cupcakes because it was around a holiday and everyone loves cupcakes. Nothing super fancy, one of the packs that you can get at giant. They offered one to a resident, who chose vanilla. The vanilla ones came with a ring. The resident’s face lit up when they realized and the visitor said that this resident proceeded to wash the little plastic ring so carefully and thoughtfully before putting it on with a big smile. What I took from this is to appreciate and find joy in anything you can, and if you have a tough time doing that right now there’s always support around to help bring the light. Always take time to wash the little plastic ring from the cupcakes
