The mansion was transformed into a whimsical summer-holiday blend, with laughter and excited chatter erupting as players eagerly daubed their cards, anticipating the winning "Bingo!" More than just a chance to win prizes, the event showcased the community's vibrant spirit and proved that holiday joy can be celebrated anytime.

Shhh... Did you want to know a little secret? The Residents at The Vistas were in for a surprise today. They thought it was just fun and games, but they are working on their health and well-being. We launched the very first Vistas Drama Club today, and the benefits of performing are more than meets the eye. It's a holistic package that includes mental, cognitive, emotional, physical, and social benefits, all in one event. The emotional perks are pure fun, happiness, and a sense of freeing the imagination. The cognitive advantages are improved memory, word generation, comprehension, and problem-solving. Seniors also gain an understanding of achievement, life enrichment, and fulfillment. And here's the kicker-performing challenges ageist stereotypes, giving seniors a chance to have a broader social impact.

Today's skit, written by Genevieve Jencson, is titled "Sweet Romance." The story follows two friends who enjoy their retirement while working in an ice cream shop. After being without their husbands, our more adventurous character, Cathy, starts to search for a guy friend on a dating site called Silver Match, while trying to convince her friend Susan to try it. Susan finds a date with a scoop of Ice Cream. Thank you, Aurora and Rita, for stepping out of your comfort zone to give this a shot. You both did a fantastic job, and we're all so proud of you. A side note: it's never too late to try something new. You both rocked it.

At Villas Independent living, residents celebrated summer's arrival with a wreath-making workshop. The common room buzzed with laughter and reminiscences as they fashioned hydrangeas and bright sunflowers into unique decorations. Each wreath, reflecting personal style and summertime joy, became a vibrant expression of their creativity. Now adorning their doors and infusing the villa with a cheerful summer atmosphere.

CNA positions are available on both the first and second shifts, offering the opportunity to provide direct patient care and contribute to a supportive environment. Vistas also have openings for Dietary Aides, a crucial role responsible for ensuring residents receive nutritious and delicious meals. Further leadership opportunities exist with openings for a Dietary Director, to oversee the dietary department, and an Admissions Director, to manage the intake process and build relationships with prospective residents and their families. The aroma of perfectly grilled hot dogs hung in the air, mingling with the sweet scent of root beer floats, creating an irresistible invitation to celebrate. The car show proved to be a major draw, with gleaming chrome, pristine engines captivating attendees of all ages. Families strolled through the rows of meticulously maintained vehicles, sharing stories and admiring the craftsmanship on display, making it a truly memorable day for dads and their loved ones.

Last Wednesday and Thursday at The Vistas, the community transformed into a vibrant time capsule, celebrating the iconic 1950s and 60s. Residents and staff alike embraced the groovy spirit of the decades, donning poodle skirts, letterman jackets, and tie-dye shirts. The air buzzed with the sounds of Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and Motown classics. From sock hop-inspired decorations to Hula-hoop, Twister, pin the polka dot on the pin-up girl, and themed trivia games, every detail was carefully curated to evoke the nostalgia and carefree energy of these unforgettable eras. The events provided a wonderful opportunity for residents to reminisce about their own experiences during those years and share cherished memories with each other.
