👉When Doctors scare you into induction but later contradict themselves in labor👈

As long as you are under their supervision, they can take risks. Majority of women left alone to birth naturally experience their water breaking when they are pushing. Only 8-10% of moms have their water break before labor. The intact amniotic sac is very important during labor to help cushion baby during the squeezing contractions, keep the umbilical cord from being pinched, and help baby regulate their heart rate. They are still swallowing amniotic fluid (full of electrolytes) during labor! Do NOT let Doctors break your waters.

I disagree. If choosing an epidural was NOT right for your birth it does not mean your birth was a failure but you also do not have to be proud of every decision you made in birth. Pride does no good. There is a balance in the acceptance of things you can not change in the past but could change for the future.

Oh mama, I hear this all the time from my birth class students who wanted to go unmedicated but for some reason or another decided to choose an epidural.

That's the point. THEY CHOSE!

Do I believe you can go unmedicated and not get an epidural, yeah. But do I think you have to, um NO!!

Stop feeling like you need to explain your choice. You are the birth queen, it is your choice and only you know what you need and when you need it.
