Dr. Meier is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in all types of orthopedic surgery and regenerative medicine. Dr. Meier’s areas of focus involve all sports injuries and the surgical and non-surgical treatment of these conditions. His emphasis is on minimally-invasive arthroscopic surgery and he has a particular interest in all-arthroscopic repair for rotator cuff injury and shoulder

instability, hip injuries as well as reconstructive cartilage and knee ligament surgery. His specialized training provides him with expertise in using state-of-the-art, arthroscopic techniques for treating problems of the shoulder, knee, elbow, hip and ankle. Whether working with recreational athletes, injured workers or any other individuals, Dr. Meier provides each patient with the quality of care given to professional athletes. When treating musculoskeletal conditions, Dr. Meier utilizes various therapeutic techniques which may include an exercise program, rehabilitation or minimally invasive surgery. When surgery is necessary, the most current and leading-edge technologies are employed which result in less postoperative pain and faster recovery. Dr. Meier takes the time to listen to each individual’s concerns and needs to formulate an individualized treatment program that is most compatible with their goals and aspirations. He received his residency training at Northwestern University in Chicago after graduating with honors from Loyola University Medical School in Chicago. He then went on to complete a fellowship program in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at the University of California San Diego. During his fellowship, Dr. Meier served on staff at the university and his responsibilities included supervising orthopedic care for the university athletic teams. He has continued to be involved with athletic medicine, functioning as team physician and consultant to high school, collegiate and professional athletic teams.
