As promised, here is an update on my incredible patient, Scarlett, 10-months after her primary rhinoplasty!

The swelling will be 85-90% gone in about two months, which will be the one-year mark, & will be fully gone after three years! She has noticed that her nose keeps getting better and better and her friends can hardly tell she got a nose job because of how natural the results look!

We’re both extremely happy with her progress so far & we will continue to keep you posted!

This teenage patient was self-conscious about her nose, so I performed a primary rhinoplasty to help her reach her goals!

She wasn’t happy with her large dorsal hump and the droopy tip, so much so that she didn’t want to look into the mirror and covered up her nose when she would take selfies!

Note: I received a lot of questions about what the appropriate age is to receive a rhinoplasty. We assess every person individually to determine the right time to intervene. This patient’s face was fully mature, so there will be no negative effects on the growing cartilages. I also did a more in-depth video about this question as well, which was posted on 8/29/23!

Here’s the 1-month update from my 26-year-old patient who came to me for his 4th revision rhinoplasty & septoplasty. I showed you his results from the OR immediately after his surgery. Excited to share his progress!

Recap:
He originally underwent primary rhinoplasty following a sports-related trauma. The goal of the revision rhinoplasty was to improve his breathing while also increasing projection, straighten his nose, improve the symmetry of his nostrils & correct the pollybeak deformity.

The correction of his septal perforation (small hole in septum) improved his breathing. In order to improve the appearance of his nose, I used rib cartilage to create a customized diced cartilage glue graft (DCGG), spreader grafts & finely diced cartilage (FDC) graft.
