Lymphatic Drainage and cancer

The lymphatic system is composed of lymph vessels, lymph nodes, and organs. As part of the body’s defense system, the lymph nodes remove microorganisms and other foreign substances from the body helping to strengthen the immune system. This amazing system acts as a filtration to keep particular matter, such as bacteria, from entering the bloodstream. Stimulating the lymphatic system through manual lymphatic drainage will activate all of the above functions as well as encourage fluid circulation and cell regeneration. These actions promote detoxification.

"Healthy living" to most people means both physical and mental health are in balance or functioning well together. Remember that physical and mental health are closely linked, so a change (good or bad) in one directly affects the other.

Wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits on a daily basis to attain better physical, mental, and spiritual health outcomes, so that instead of just surviving, you're thriving.

Finding your center through ….. THE SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA πŸ’›

So as you probably know by now I’m big on Holistic Health, which is an approach to life that considers all aspects of wellness and encourages us to recognize the WHOLE self: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual etc. When it comes to healing, you want to be sure to include all of these aspects.

To connect with your center spiritually you would focus on the Solar Plexus Chakra. The solar plexus is a nerve center located in the abdomen around the belly button. This center controls many of the body’s automatic functions, such as digestion and respiration. It represents confidence, self-esteem, personal power, vitality, purpose and direction. This chakra is represented by the color yellow.

When this chakra energy is blocked it can negatively impact health in the physical body and mental state. Some of the symptoms may include: Digestive issues, fatigue, feeling sluggish, negative thought patterns, and aggression.

To connect with and balance the Solar Plexus Chakra you can repeat positive affirmations that support positive thought patterns like the ones in this post. Burning incense such as sandlewood and cinnamon also help to balance the solar plexus chakra. You can also incorporate the color yellow more often in your daily life by wearing it or eating foods that are yellow in color.

Finding your center through …. GUT HEALTH🍍
Ok so this part is a bit more intricate because the body is so miraculous and complex! But understanding and connecting with your gut is so important and can be a game changer for so many people. We’ve all heard the sayings β€œyou are what you eat” and β€œtrust your gut”.

There has been a lot of research lately proving that there is a major connection between the gut and the brain. In fact, the gut is even sometimes referred to as the 2nd brain. GI issues can affect neurological issues such as anxiety, depression, hyperactivity, and brain fog; and alternatively, anxiety or stress can trigger an imbalance of bacteria in the gut as well as inflammation and other gut issues.

With this in mind its very important to be aware of how you mentally feel when you eat certain foods or when your digestion is off, as well as being aware of how certain emotional situations make your stomach/body feel. A lot of times we get so caught up in life and work that we don’t pay attention to these things until the problems begin to disrupt our daily living. Our body will always give us a sign when things are out of balance and It’s imperative for us to pay attention to these signs. When you are in-tune with and connected to your gut and maintain proper gut health, you can trust your gut feelings, make better decisions and have a clear, peaceful mind. 🀎

Finding your center through … BREATHING! 🌬
Our breath is our connection to life. It is also a tool to connect us more deeply to our essential being.
Connecting to our breath can give us a deeper understanding of our body and help us connect with how we feel. As I mentioned before, mindfulness is so important! When breathing be mindful of each inhale and exhale. Be mindful of how your stomach (the center) goes in and out. Be mindful of the air flowing through your lungs. This ritual is extremely powerful and has so many benefits.

Ive found that being more aware of my breath throughout the day or even incorporating some breathing exercises each day, significantly helps me with just feeling better mentally and physically.

Bonus: Breath work is also amazing for the lymphatic system! 🀎
