A sad day in the world of psychology. I remember listening to Dr. Ruth on the radio as I commuted to work in my younger years living in Connecticut. I also remember my mother’s excitement when she told me about meeting Dr. Ruth one Saturday night at my brother’s nightclub in NYC, The Red Parrot (a rival of Studio 54).

For those who don’t remember her, below is a great NPR obit. I suggest you listen to the audio version since you get to hear Dr. Ruth’s delightful accent.
