Our patient Annie, from Canada, is only 6-weeks post-op now from her facial rejuvenation and is loving her results so much, she already had her pictures taken! We will keep you posted along the way as she continues to progress on her incredible transformational journey!

📝 Note: The bruising and swelling from our last post, which was at 5-days post-op, has significantly subsided. We tell our patients it takes about three-months for everything to fully calm down.

Recap: Annie is 65-years-old & came in for a full facial rejuvenation. Her goal is to look her best for as long as she possibly can! She found us because I had previously performed a rhinoplasty on her brother. He was so happy with his results & experience here at NassifMD®, she knew we’d help make her aesthetic dreams become a reality!We performed a deep plane facelift & necklift along with a (gliding lateral) lip lift. We also performed a lower transconjunctival blepharoplasty with fat repositioning to prevent hollowness. Here is an update from my patient who is now 15-months post-op from his facial rejuvenation!

The only regret he had was that his mother wasn’t alive to see the incredible work we have done for him after decades of issues stemming from a prior botched surgery & numerous revision attempts.

I’m so glad we got to give his plastic surgery journey the ending it deserves!

Are deep plane facelifts more dangerous than other types of facelifts??

It depends, mainly on the health of the skin! It’s actually safer in most cases because we’re lifting up the skin less. However, there can be more risks with a deep plane facelift since you are going deeper than just the skin, which could affect other vital structures of the face and neck. That’s why it’s recommended to go to an experienced surgeon, one who will minimize those risks discussed above and in the video.

There are many different types of facelifts: skin-only facelifts, deep plane facelifts (lifts deeper layers of muscle and tissue), facelifts that include neck lifts & jaw lifts, a midface facelift (cheek lift), composite facelifts, endoscopic facelifts or doing what we call SMAS work (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System), just to name a few!

Here’s a recap of her story:

The incredible McKenzie Westmore came to me after dealing with the negative effects of overusing facial filler. After years of feeling pressured by the industry to not look as “gaunt” because of her battle with anorexia, she began to overuse facial filler, which left her with lumps of filler that migrated under her skin; she had filler in places I’ve never seen before, like deep in her cheek tissue.

In order to help her,Nassif MDD successfully dissolved her filler with an enzyme called hyaluronidase and I performed a deep plane facelift and endoscopic brow lift to help add balance and get her back to how she used to look. We also performed Halo and Profractional Lasers by Sciton during the surgery in order to help improve overall skin texture.

McKenzie loves her results and now feels like she has a new lease on life! Most importantly, she feels healthier.
