According to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), we humans shed between 30,000 and 40,000 skin cells every day. 👀

Buildup of dead skin cells and bodily fluids can cause microorganisms—like bacteria and fungus—to grow. 😷 Although this may not cause significant issues, it can lead to skin irritation, breakouts, and even infections if you aren’t careful!
