Public Health Education for disease prevention, management and coping strategies for chronic illness. Seeking professional help is a sign of self-awareness and readiness for change. Perhaps you are feeling out control of your emotions, behavior, relationships or life in general. Maybe you are dealing with chronic health issues involving physical pain and psychological symptoms. As a therapist and

health educator for over 30 years, I offer compassion and collaboration to help you overcome unhealthy patterns, depression, anxiety, somatic (pain) symptoms, poor self-image, or grief, in a safe and nonjudgmental space. I have worked with individuals and couples of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and sexual orientations. I treat depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief/loss, eating disorders, couples in crisis, professional and career dilemmas, parenting issues, pain and more. I also specialize in addressing pain, fatigue, insomnia, and chronic illness including but not limited to chronic fatigue, autoimmune disease, and fibromyalgia. My approach integrates dynamic/analytic therapy with CBT, solution-focused and mindfulness to help you identify your strengths, target your goals, support you in overcoming blocks so that you can change on the deepest level. Together we will explore the root causes of your symptoms to help you identify counterproductive patterns. Then by implementing new healthy emotional and behavioral coping strategies, positive changes will become permanent. Successful therapy will allow you to experience joy and live your life productively. I look forward to hearing from you and accompanying you in your journey to well-being!

And imagine if you’re homeless, with or without MediCaid insurance. Where are the local clinics with trained psychiatrists to provide AND GET REIMBURSED for effective medication management? The few that exist require extensive waits, have gatekeepers, wait-times, paperwork, require persistence, follow-up, and personal organization. Who has the stamina when they are hungry, tired, sick, disorganized & delusional?

New patients seeking an outpatient appointment with a psychiatrist may have to wait more than 2 months for an in-person visit and more than a month for a telehealth visit.
