Winter air + indoor heat = low humidity and a leaky barrier (TEWL), this is why your skin feels tight, stingy, and flaky right now.

Fix the environment and tweak the routine:

• Skip hot showers + don’t wash your face in the steam
• Cleanse at the sink with lukewarm, filtered water
• Exfoliate 1–2Ɨ/month max (not weekly)
• Layer hydration on damp skin → richer moisturizer → (optional) oil to seal
• Add a humidifier (aim 40–50% RH)
• Keep SPF daily (UVA doesn’t take winters off)
• Support inside: bone broth + healthy fats + electrolytes

Red, stingy, reactive skin?

Start here:
Hot showers, too many actives, hidden fragrance (even essential oils), over-exfoliating, and shower cleansing are the biggest triggers.

Switch to lukewarm water, fragrance-free, and a simplified routine; pause exfoliants and cleanse in the sink, not in the steam. Be kind and gentle to skin that is stressed and damaged.

Do this 15 min routine in the morning for your hormones + skin ā¬‡ļø

Vibration plate for 15 mins:

* Wakes up the lymphatic system
* Opens detox pathways
* Activates core + pelvic floor
* Loosens tight muscles/fascia
* Boosts circulation (de-puff)

(I use the highest program setting on mine, P9)

Red light 10-12 mins:

* Supports mitochondrial function (anti-aging foundation)
* Aids recovery + repair, calms redness
* Helps collagen + elasticity
* Mood/circadian support (AM light = better cortisol rhythm)

Panels > masks:
I prefer RL panels,l - more power = more effective, faster results, and you can use them anywhere (sore muscles/injuries). If you only have a face mask, still use it, just be very consistent & results may not be as effective.

Melasma tip:
Skip NIR if you have melasma and don’t put light directly on the melasma patches (another reason masks aren’t ideal). Use one larger torso panel with NIR off - you’ll still get red-light benefits without triggering pigment.

Pro tip:
No fabric between the light and your skin. Direct exposure only (topless or naked).
