Millennium Medical Associates - Adult ADD & ADHD Treatment

Millennium Medical Associates - Adult ADD & ADHD Treatment The mission of Millennium Medical Associates is to improve the lives of adults suffering from ADHD t Those numbers astounded us.

As a society, we are undereducated about this medical condition and the effects it can have on the life of an individual not knowing they have options. In 2016, the National Institutes of Mental Health estimated that approximately 15 million Americans were suffering from ADHD. Of that 15 million, NIMH estimated 9% had been diagnosed and were receiving treatment. After all, a test for ADHD is not part of an annual physical exam and is not likely to come up during a routine visit. We felt it would be meaningful to help those we’ve educated to increase awareness and treatment of this condition. The founders of Millennium Medical Associates have both been diagnosed and are receiving treatment for Adult ADHD. They know personally the profoundly positive impact education and treatment can make. Having been unfairly judged by others because of their medical condition, the founders decided Millennium Medical Associates will always be a space where Adult ADHD sufferers will never be judged, made to feel lazy, or made to feel crazy. And, today, almost 10 years later, patients regularly tell us that for the first time they feel someone has finally heard them, understands their plight, and is dedicated to helping them improve their lives. It is, after all, our motto:
“Caring and compassionate treatment for sufferers of Adult ADHD”

When was the last time you slept as peacefully as your pet? ADHD symptoms, such as anxiety, brain fog and overthinking, can block us from the rest we need to function throughout our day. Strategies to improve sleep include getting enough daytime exercise, having a consistent bedtime and sleep regimen, and spending at least an hour winding down and disconnecting from screens, such as phones or TV. Lack of rest can inflame other effects of ADHD, such as increased stress, irritability and mood swings. Make rest your resolution. Remember, life isn't a race. Pace yourself, and give yourself permission to take a sleep, nap and rest. Your body deserves it. Want to learn more about your ADHD? Chat with us. https://www.millenniummedicalassociates.com

Services we provide.

The team at Millennium Medical Associates is committed to the assessment, treatment, and support of patients with attention deficits. Because we specialize in working with adults with ADD/ADHD, we understand the unique challenges that come with this condition. Our practitioners take the time to get to know each patient and to understand your personal struggles with ADD/ADHD, so that we can offer effective solutions that will allow you to finally get your focus back and perform at your highest potential.

Because it’s a fairly new medical specialty, many doctors haven’t been adequately trained in treating adults with ADD/ADHD. That’s why it’s so important to seek care from a practitioner who is knowledgeable and experienced in treating patients with this condition. At Millennium Medical Associates, our practitioners and staff members are dedicated to working with adults with ADD/ADHD.

There are several treatment options available for adults with ADD/ADHD, including psychotherapy, behavior modification, and medications. Our clinicians prefer to treat ADD/ADHD with medications, as this option generally offers the best evidence-based results for individuals with attention deficits. Research shows that the majority of patients with ADD/ADHD will see an improvement in their symptoms when prescribed an appropriate medication. Both stimulant and non-stimulant medications are available. We also offer referrals for psychotherapy and behavior modification services, for patients who may benefit from a combined treatment approach.

We are listeners, we want to answer all of your questions and value open communication with our patients.
