If dinner feels hard right now, this is your reminder:
it does NOT have to be complicated.

Some of the meals my kids eat best are the simplest ones.
Like… 3 ingredients simple.

Think:
• Pasta + sauce + cheese
• Chicken + rice + broccoli
• Quesadilla + fruit + yogurt

No fancy recipes. No long ingredient lists. Just real-life meals that work.

I put together a full list here:

The hardest part about feeding a family isn’t cooking.

It’s deciding what to make…
every single day…
forever.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks… repeat.

Some days I feel on top of it.
Other days I stare into the fridge like it’s going to tell me what to do.

If this is you too — you’re not behind, you’re just feeding a family ❤️ Let me help you by taking the planning of dinner off your plate: https://mailchi.mp/momtomomnutrition/5pmtoolkit

The question I get from moms EVERY week…

“What’s for dinner when I have zero time and everyone is already hungry?”

If that’s you by 5pm… same 😅

That’s exactly why I started using themed dinners. It takes the thinking out of it and makes grocery shopping SO much easier.

Think:

Taco Tuesday 🌮
Pasta Night 🍝
Breakfast for Dinner 🍳

I put all my go-to themed dinner ideas in one place here 👇

This is one of those things that just clicks once you try it.

I wrote a new blog post about our Easter Sunday, Lily’s NEW guacamole recipe, and why I swear by a weekly dinner plan.

You can read it here:
https://momtomomnutrition.com/mom-life/the-weekly-reset-that-saves-my-sanity-plus-lilys-guacamole-recipe/

By Sunday night, after Easter brunch, four loads of laundry, ordering hot lunches for the rest of April, and looking at the week ahead, I realized something — the weeks that go well in our house are not the weeks where everything is perfect. They are the weeks where we have a simple plan.

Not a complicated meal prep schedule.
Not gourmet dinners.
Just a plan so that 5:00 PM doesn’t feel like a daily emergency.

That’s exactly why I made my Themed Dinner Planner. It takes the decision-making out of dinner and makes weekly planning take about 10 minutes instead of an hour. And honestly, this little weekly reset might be one of the biggest things that keeps our house running.

If you never know what to make for dinner, themed dinners can make life SO much easier.

Think:

• Slow Cooker Night
• Breakfast for Dinner
• Pizza Friday

I wrote all my themed dinner ideas here:

These themed dinner ideas help bring structure to your family's meal planning making dinners during the week a breeze! Feeding kids is basically just serving the same meal in different ways.

My plate = everything mixed together.
Their plates = everything separated.

Same dinner. No short-order cooking. No separate meals.
Just plated differently.

If you’re feeding picky eaters right now, you’re not doing anything wrong. You’re just in that phase.

I used to think meal prep meant cooking every meal for the week and spending my entire Sunday in the kitchen. Guess what? That's not the case.

Now I do something much simpler. I take quiet morning or afternoons, and simply plan when I can.

I just prep 2–3 foods each week:
protein
fruit or vegetables
grain or starch

That’s it.

And somehow the week feels SO much easier.

I shared all my simple meal prep ideas here if you want to start small too:

Meal prep doesn’t have to mean cooking all day. Learn how to start simple meal prep with just 2–3 foods per week. Includes a free printable meal prep guide. As a registered dietitian, one of the biggest struggles I see with moms, busy professionals, kids, and athletes is this:

What do I eat for snacks? Am I over-snacking? What makes a “good” snack?

So I started creating snack guides and handouts for my clients:
– Balanced snack ideas
– Snack plate ideas
– Toddler snack ideas
– High protein snacks
– Sports snacks
– Workday snacks
– Snack prep ideas

Real food. Normal food. Easy food.

If you want my Snacking Repertoire (all my snack PDFs and handouts)
comment SNACK and I’ll send them to you.
