Big changes can still look natural!
I'm so thrilled for this beautiful patient. She came to me hoping to treat the fullness under her chin, which felt out of proportion with the rest of her figure. After a thorough exam and careful consideration of her anatomy, I recommended and performed a MIDS neck lift®. This technique uses small, hidden incisions to sculpt multiple layers of the neck to deliver a dramatic yet natural-looking result. I also performed a conservative buccal fat reduction to refine the contour of her lower face while avoiding a hollowed appearance. This helped create a beautifully balanced result.

Note: The MIDS neck lift® is designed for individuals who do not have significant skin laxity.

Neck Liposuction
I performed radiofrequency assisted liposuction to reduce the fat under the chin and create a more defined jawline. This involves using radiofrequency energy in addition to my micro-liposuction technique.

Not everyone is a candidate for liposuction and results vary. Liposuction is only able to reduce the fat that is above the platysma muscle. If the neck fullness is mainly due to deeper structures under the platysma muscle, then a deep neck lift would be ideal. A deep neck lift can reduce more fullness under the chin compared to liposuction, but is a more invasive procedure. A comprehensive exam and discussion are important to determine the best option for each individual. In this case, liposuction was able to achieve the patient's goal.

Facelift & Neck Lift

Our lovely out-of-state patient sent us selfie photos from before and after undergoing facelift, neck lift, and upper blepharoplasty. She has been kind enough to allow me to share her photographs.

The tissues of the face and neck have been lifted, the deep structures of the neck have been scuplted, and the jawline has been defined. The extended deep plane facelift and deep neck lift I performed are the foundation for achieving such substantial, yet natural appearing results. And equally important, the youthfulness of her beautiful eyes have been restored.

Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty 👀
An upper blepharoplasty was performed on this lovely patient to remove the excess upper eyelid skin. A fractional CO2 laser treatment was also performed to help rejuvenate the upper eyelids. As always, the goals include a natural appearance and maintaining function.

Facelift & Neck Lift

This lovely patient wanted to achieve a more youthful and refreshed appearance, while still looking like herself.

I performed a deep plane lower to lift the midface and rejuvenate the contour of her jawline. In addition, I performed a with in order to eliminate the sagging skin and tighten the vertical bands at her neck.

She is wearing makeup in the after photograph, but the results of the surgery should be pretty clear nonetheless. The factors under my control, such as lighting and head position, are consistent in the before and after photographs.

MIDS Neck Lift™
I performed a Minimal Incision Deep Sculpting (MIDS) Neck Lift to maximally reduce the fullness under her chin and achieve a highly defined jawline. Unlike neck liposuction that simply reduces the superficial fat under the skin, the MIDS Neck Lift is a more comprehensive procedure that treats multiple layers of the neck. The superficial fat, jowl fat, deeper subplatysmal fat, digastric muscles, and submandibular glands were reduced in this case. In addition, a platysmaplasty was performed. This was all achieved through a small incision under her chin that is not noticeable. No incisions were made in front of or behind the ears, and no skin was removed.

She still has slight swelling in the after photograph which was taken 3 months after the procedure. Her result will continue to improve over the next few months.

Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty 👀

I made a hidden incision from inside the eyelid in order to treat the lower eyelid fat bags. This involved releasing the bulging fat and repositioning it to the area of hollowing below it, creating a smooth contour. I also performed a fractional CO2 laser treatment to help tighten and improve the quality of the lower eyelid skin. She not only appears more youthful, but also refreshed. As always, my goal is a natural appearing result.

Chin Implant
Our lovely patient desired to enhance the size of her chin and improve the contour of her jawline. I used an extended anatomical chin implant to achieve her goals. This type of implant has "wings" that extend along the jawline. It adds volume to the pre-jowl region, which creates a smooth transition from the chin to the jawline. This will also be beneficial as she ages because it helps reduce the appearance of the jowls. The appropriate size, shape, and position of the chin implant is critical to achieve a natural appearing result that improves the overall harmony of the face. I also performed conservative micro-liposuction of the neck to reduce the the fullness under her chin and create an even more sculpted jawline.
