Its symptoms are similar to a heart attack, but the good news is that it’s usually reversible with time and proper care.

Did you know?

High blood pressure is often referred to as the “silent killer.”

Why?

Because it usually doesn’t exhibit noticeable symptoms in its early stages.

And this, in turn, can make individuals unaware of their elevated blood pressure levels, increasing the risk of serious health complications, including heart disease and stroke.

Having regular check-ups and adopting a healthy lifestyle can play a pivotal role in preventing the development of high blood pressure.

Heart attacks always come with severe chest pain.

Is that true?

While chest pain is a common heart attack symptom,

especially in men,

women may experience atypical symptoms like...

✅ Shortness of breath
✅ Nausea
✅ Back or Jaw Pain

Yes, heart attacks in women can present differently from the classic symptoms typically associated with men, which often include chest pain and discomfort.

"Life's ECG: Ups and Downs 📈💔💪

In a doctor's meeting, my colleague had a tough day. His wife's illness worsened, his son had a seizure, a relative passed away, and a work project failed. Talk about a bad day! But he remained calm.

Then he shared his recent successes - raising funds for his nonprofit and enlightening me about ECG. Did you know it reflects life too? Each heartbeat, an R wave followed by an S wave, symbolizing life's ups and downs.

Accept that life consists of R's and S's. No ups, no downs, no life. Embrace challenges as they'll always be followed by an up. Remember, negatives pave the way for positive waves. 💙✨"

Karma saved his life 24 years later…

I was a struggling 20 year old first year Medical student who could not afford his fees.

A complete stranger I met at an event in Chicago, offered to help me without any expectation.

His help allowed me to continue my medical school training.

I graduated number 1 in my medical school and in the top 10% of medical students in the entire country.

Fast forward 24 years later.

I was now a Cardiologist practicing at a prestigious hospital in Los Angeles.

One late evening, at a medical conference at the hospital, I heard about a case of a patient with a rare heart condition.

Curious & interested, I asked the treating doctors if I could review the case.

With permission I visited the patient and saw a familiar face on the bed, intubated and sedated.

I was in COMPLETE shock because I recognized him as the man who had helped me 24 years ago in Chicago.

Apparently he had developed a rare heart condition which had caused his heart to go into severe heart failure.

All treatments had failed and the family was told there was no hope.

After reviewing his records and talking to his care team, I realized that the doctors had not considered a certain treatment.

My recommendations and the treatment plan I implemented turned the course around.

His condition gradually improved and he was extubated after 8 days. He went home two weeks after and he is still alive today!

His good deed 24 years ago in Chicago came around and saved his life.

Everything you do, good or bad, will come back to you at one time or another.

Let me ask you, do you believe in Karma?

Because I do now.
