Did you know that one of the biggest inland seas in the world is a 2 hour drive from Los Angeles? Do you also know the water is so toxic that you can’t swim in it? In the 1950’s, this was California’s Riviera ....singers like Frank Sinatra used to perform a walking distance from this photo. When I take this pic, I see what could have been. I see kids playing in the swing and families on the beach.....and while I wasn’t alive when the water begun to be diverted away and started to kill all the fish and birds and poisoned the water, I strangely feel responsible because it was us that did this. Stories like this weigh on me......but I think that’s a good thing.....right?
