A Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Lanman specializes in spine surgery and arthroplasty. In addition to his research experience, he has published more than ten peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on neurological surgery topics and has presented over 25 papers at national and regional medical society meetings. After completing his undergraduate education at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Dr. Lanman earned his medical degree in 1983 from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Beta Kappa honor societies. His post-graduate training included a general surgery internship and a four-year neurological surgery residency at the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA).
