Patient with significant gum recession and loss of keratinized tissue. If not treated, long term can lead to gum disease. In this procedure, we completed a connective tissue graft and repositioned the gums.

There are consequences to poor oral health. For example, did you know patients with gum disease have increased thickness of blood vessels in their neck? Yet another reason why periodontal maintenance is necessary.

Let’s talk gum contouring. Here’s a great example of a patient who had concerns with over exposure of gum tissue. She had an overall healthy functioning smile so the best treatment to address her aesthetic concern is my specialty, Crown Lengthening procedure. This treatment exposes a greater amount of tooth structure for the purpose of restoring the tooth prosthetically and revealing her beautiful smile. This is a 2 hour surgery under local anesthetic.
