My name is Claudia Lewis and I blend psychotherapy, EMDR, Brainspotting and somatic therapies in the treatment of trauma and life challenges. Did you know that the memory of a negative experience can be lodged in a timeless state in the mid-brain and that without reprocessing, that memory can continue to impact us in the present? You may not be able to:
Control your reactions or anxiety in everyday situations
Maintain a fulfilling and intimate relationship
Stay clean and sober
Function at your optimal capacity as a person (self-sabotage, autoimmune problems, lack of self-worth)
I work with challenges of every sort (addiction, family dysfunction, PTSD, violence, abuse, relationships) by desensitizing and integrating pain from the past so that new patterns are formed and over time, neurological wiring changes. This, combined with developing strong skills for self-regulation and anxiety reduction, leads to stability, understanding and awareness in the present.

At the start of lockdown I closed my old therapy office completely. Little did I know it would be more than 3 years before I returned to seeing clients in an office. Today I am excited to start seeing clients in person in a new space in Beverly Hills!
