It’s crazy how long we were taught to chase the “right” life.
Degrees.
Careers.
Titles.
Marriage.
Kids.
Buy a house.
Checking every box like it was going to finally make us feel complete.
And for a while, maybe it did.
Or maybe we just got really good at pretending it did.
But deep down?
All I ever wanted was peace.
To feel light again.
To feel like my life actually belonged to me.
Not built out of pressure.
Not driven by fear.
Not performed for approval.
Just…...real.
And unlearning that?
Rewriting everything you thought success was supposed to look like?
That’s the hardest part.
But also the most freeing.
Because you realize
you were never behind.
You were just living a life your soul never agreed to.
And you’re allowed to choose differently now.

This isn’t just being tired.
This is your nervous system needing a reset.
A space where you don’t have to perform.
Where you can finally exhale.

Also me: overthinking a text I already responded to
making up scenarios that don’t exist
feeling like something is wrong for no reason
like why are we in fight or flight…...in a safe environment…...with no actual threat 🤦‍♀️
my body: 🚨🚨🚨
me: girl…...there is literally nothing happening
but this is what no one talks about!!
You can look like you have it all together
and still feel like your body is constantly on edge.
That’s not you being dramatic that’s a nervous system that never got to come down.
So yeah…... I joke about it
but also…... I'm working on it!
Learning how to slow down
how to breathe
how to feel safe again.

Healing doesn’t look the way people think it does.
It’s not all peace and deep breaths.
It’s not “good vibes only.”
It’s waking up tired for no reason.
It’s overthinking things that shouldn’t feel this big.
It’s feeling everything all at once or nothing at all.
It’s your body finally slowing down
after being in survival mode for way too long.
And the hardest part?
From the outside,
your life looks fine.
So no one sees it.
No one understands it.
And you start questioning yourself.
But this is what healing actually looks like.
Not pretty.
Not linear.
But real.
If you’re in this season….I see you.
I am you.
You’re not behind.
You’re not broken.
You’re in it

The constant thinking.
The tension in your body.
The feeling like you can’t fully relax even when you try.
That’s your nervous system asking for a reset.
This Sunday, we’re creating a space where you don’t have to do anything.
Just be held, supported, and guided back to calm.
Soft lighting. Slow, grounding movement.
Sound that helps your body finally let go.
No pressure. No expectations. No experience needed.
Just you finally exhaling 🧘‍♀️ 🧘‍♂️

A fact about me… 🧘‍♀️
Ashtanga has always been the place I go when I feel like I’m losing myself.
Not because it’s easy but because it’s honest.
There’s no hiding in Ashtanga.
No distractions.
No checking out.
Just breath and everything you’ve been trying not to feel. There were seasons of my life where my nervous system was constantly on edge......go, go, go, holding it all together. Pushing through. Ashtanga was the only thing that made me slow down long enough actually to feel my body again.
It taught me how to stay.
How to breathe through discomfort.
How to stop running from myself.
It didn’t fix me….but it grounded me in ways I can’t fully explain.
And to this day,
when life feels loud or heavy.
I come back to my mat.
Because that’s where I find me again
