Our patient had a benign pleomorphic adenoma on the left side of her face. Dr. Larian performed a micro-parotidectomy with reconstruction using a sternocleidomastoid (SCM) muscle flap. The tumor was close to the facial nerve, but he was able to preserve it — and she has full facial function.

This young child had surgery to remove a congenital lymphatic malformation involving the parotid gland and neck. This large benign mass started to be visible in his neck at only six months old and has grown all his life . Removing such a large mass is very complicated and took 7 hours, but we were still able to save his facial nerve function.

Getting to help people in the way we originally intended when going into health care is truly a joy and a privilege!
