One thing a lot of people might know about me is how much I enjoy riding motorcycles in my free time. I’m especially a fan of dirt bikes. Most weekends, you’ll find me somewhere up in the mountains here in Southern California, riding single-track trails with a group of friends.
I’ve been riding for about ten years now. Interestingly, I actually picked it up after becoming a plastic surgeon… which is a little unusual considering I’ve spent so many years doing trauma surgery and taking care of people after motorcycle accidents. You’d think that would’ve scared me off, but instead it had the opposite effect.
I really enjoy trail riding over street riding - a strong preference to avoid the possibility of getting hit by another vehicle. Out on the trails, it’s different. It’s quiet, it’s peaceful, and it’s just you, your bike, and the mountains. There’s something really special about being in nature like that… the air is crisp, the environment is pristine, and you get to see parts of Southern California most people never experience.
It’s become one of my favorite ways to recharge, clear my mind, and enjoy a completely different kind of focus and flow. - Dr. Feldmar
