The first pediatric flu death of the season has already occcurred. We have flu shots. And masks. It’s that time of year again.

This is still happening and unless the CDC stops their anti-vax agenda, it will only get worse. When that happens, children will die and it will no longer be safe for MA families with infants to travel domestically without risking exposure to illnesses that in a saner time would have been prevented. Vaccines save lives.

Some students who remain unvaccinated are now in a second 21-day quarantine since the beginning of the school year.

As you plan for the holidays, remember that pertussis circulates amongst the unvaccinated as well as those whose protection has waned. Adults can make sure their Tdap boosters are up to date while families with infants too young for the vaccine should take extra care if traveling to high risk areas.

A third infant has died from pertussis in Kentucky within the past 12 months, state health officials announced Monday.
