Maternal Health Awareness Day is a powerful reminder of what’s at stake.

The maternal mortality rate in the U.S. is still far too high, with Black, American Indian, and Alaska Native communities facing the greatest challenges. The good news is that nearly 80% of maternal deaths are preventable, which is why postpartum care and access to quality reproductive health services are so important. Together, we can work towards better outcomes for all.

At Essex County OB/GYN, we are committed to improving maternal health outcomes and advocating for equitable care.
