Allison Camire, L.Ac., is a licensed acupuncturist and founder of North Shore Acupuncture and Natural Medicine in Beverly, MA. A graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS), Allison holds a dual Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, with an additional concentration in Japanese-style acupuncture. She is nationally board-certified in acupuncture and herbal medicine through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine.
As a visually impaired practitioner, Allison brings a unique sensitivity to her work, honed through extensive training in Japanese-style acupuncture—a practice historically carried out by blind acupuncturists in Japan. This specialized training has allowed her to refine her palpation skills and develop a heightened perception of energy flow within the body’s meridians, giving her a distinct and unique perspective on health and healing.
In addition to acupuncture, Allison is certified in Craniosacral Therapy and has undergraduate education in exercise physiology and health promotion. She complements her acupuncture treatments with a holistic approach, incorporating Chinese herbal medicine, TCM nutrition, and lifestyle recommendations to support her patients' overall health and well-being.
