When considering plastic surgery, It is important to remember that healing is not instant, but it is always progressing. Trust the process. 💫

After surgery, your body moves through a powerful healing process:

▪️First comes the inflammation phase (0–2 weeks), where redness, swelling, and tenderness show your body is working hard to close and protect the area.

▪️Next is the proliferation phase (2–6 weeks), when new tissue forms, this is why scars can look pink or slightly raised.

▪️Finally, the maturation phase (6 weeks to 1 year+), where the magic really happens, scars gradually fade, flatten, and strengthen over time.

Once your skin has started to strengthen, you can introduce proven scar treatments suggested below ⬇️

▪️Silicone sheets or gels which will help hydrate and flatten scars, especially when used early.

▪️Laser treatments can improve texture, redness, and overall appearance.

▪️Medical-grade topicals like Vitamin E or retinoids may also help, but always check with Dr. Hadaegh before starting anything new.
