Thinking 2022 is your year to make a baby? Here are a few notes to help the process along and provide you with a healthy pregnancy. It is never too early to get started. The egg you drop this month started growing 3 months ago.
🩸Start learning about your cycle and when your fertile period is. Not everyone ovulates on day 14. Using ovulation predictor kits don’t confirm that you ovulated. They only tell you you might be ovulating. Monitoring your basal body temps are a great way to confirm ovulation and help you decided when it would be good to take a pregnancy test.
🥚Now is not the time to limit calories, start a cleanse, or fad diet. You want to make sure you are getting quality/variety of nutrition to hormonal health, egg quality, and future embryo quality.
🧘🏻♀️Over exercise can cause stress and a caloric deficit that will tell your body its not a good time to make a baby.
👩🏻❤️👨🏻Lets normalize talking about conception. This can be an overwhelming and emotional time. That could take a few months. Talk to your partner about all the hard work you're doing, whats on your mind, how you are feeling emotionally. Talk to your partner about keeping making a baby fun and pleasurable. Your friends are great listeners and maybe going thru something similar, open up.
💊Try not to take supplements just to take them. Ask a dietitian about what to look for in a quality prenatal. You may want to get blood work done to determine any deficiencies.
💆🏻♀️Don’t make your body do more work then it needs to. Work on getting 7+ hours of sleep and incorporate behaviors to help you let go of stress.
